Step aboard you're the captain
Houseboating on Knysna Lagoon in a Lightley's Houseboat means romance and relaxation...freedom, flexibility and fun. It's the tug of a steenbras on your line, the flash of a kingfisher, the tinkle of ice in the platters of succulent oysters, a refreshing pre-breakfast plunge into cool, clear water. The ideal escape for discerning people -from honeymooners to conference groups.
Experience the magic of this water wonderland -at your own pace, wherever the mood takes you. Beach your boat in a picturesque cove and braai a freshly caught grunter. Sip champagne under the stars -or take a tour to Crab's Creek's friendly waterside pub.
Pause at one of the many mooring places on the lagoon's 20km of navigable water, and lazily trail your fingers in the shimmering reflections of mountains and forests.
We offer an ideal alternative to the conventional accommodation with the usual attractions and the added bonus of seeing Knysna from the water.
You don't need any experience or a skipper's license to hire any of our boats. So just climb aboard and sail away.
