Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport where you will be met by
your
KDR Representative and transferred to your Sandton based hotel.

JOHANNESBURG is where the money is. And the action. It's the most powerful
commercial centre on the African continent. The hotels are modern and
of world class standards. You can send e-mail from your hotel room, you
can bank any foreign currency, you can watch CNN, and the hospitals have
world-class equipment and doctors. It has a financial, municipal, roads
and telecommunications infrastructure that matches leading first world
cities, yet the cost of living is far lower. The older suburbs, are sited
in rolling hills and have tree-lined streets, nature reserves, hiking

McGinty's Irish Pub and Grill is the perfect spot for a pub lunch or dinner.
You can spend the day relaxing and recovering from your flight or we
can arrange to take take you on one of the many tours which Johannesburg
has to offer. An example would be a 3 hour tour of Soweto taking in it's
historical features and some of the shebeens.
19h00 The evening can be at your leisure or we can collect you and take
you through to the Bassline club in the suburb of Melville for
dinner. THE
BASSLINE JAZZ CLUB opened on September 2nd 1994. Seven years on it
has become a musical institution, and a home to our finest South African
Jazz Musicians.
Day 2
Enjoy a full buffet breakfast at the hotel.
10h00 Check out the hotel, you will be met by your KDR representative
during the morning if you have arranged a city tour or you spend it at
your leisure. After lunch we will leave for the Pilanesburg, which is
about an hour and a half away from Johannesburg.
The Pilanesberg Nature Reserve has in excess 7000 animals. This includes
24 of the larger species. These animals live in a diverse & arresting
bushveld terrain. The park is famous for it's 'Big Five' - lion, leopard,
rhino, elephant & buffalo. A wide variety of rare & common species
also exist - zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile are but just a few. Over
300 different types of birds are recorded to be in the park. Some being
migrants others being permanent.
14h00 Meet your ranger at Bakubung Gate for the transfer to the exclusive:
Tshukudu Lodge "Place of the Rhino" in the Pilanesberg, offering
6 newly refurbished Luxury Cottages nestled on an isolated rocky outcrop
in the heart of a 55 000 hectare, malaria free, wildlife (home to the
Big 5) paradise of the Pilansberg Game Reserve.
Each of Tshukudu's Luxury Cottages are equipped with everything you could
possibly need from walking sticks to bubble bath. You'll find a mini bar,
hairdryers, books and magazines as well as a tea & coffee facility.
Slate floors and the thatched roof keep you cool in the hottest weather.
To keep the pressures of the outside world remote, you won't find radios,
television or telephones. Here the only sound is the wind whispering through
the grass, perhaps the distinctive call of a lion, or a jackal's plaintive

The sunken bath in the Luxury Cottages has it's own private view of the
waterhole. What a way to relax and forget the pressures of city life and
to soak in the sights and the sounds of the African bush. The rangers
share their intimate knowledge of animals and plants, answering questions
and pointing out the wonders of the wild kingdom. Still, there are times,
when you might just like to take it easy, view the game as it visits the
water hole from the privacy of your own balcony or from the comfort of
the Nest area. Or just relax in the sun around the sheltered rock pool.
Tshukudu's cuisine is not only out of Africa; it's out of this world.
Each dish is lovingly prepared to 5 star standards. A full English brunch
prepared to perfection at the end of an early morning game drive; high
tea with a savory and sweet selection; sundowners under African skies;

11h00 After your game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to
the nearby entertainment mecca of:
Sun
City's attractions are varied enough to appeal to the most divergent of
tastes. Shows like Baletsatsi, with dancers,gymnasts and circus people,
take place in the 620 seater Sun City theater in the Sun City Hotel.
Gourmets will delight in exploring the many fine restaurants that offer
everything from haute cuisine to hamburgers, while those who prefer burning
kilojoules to consuming them can choose from a range of sporting activities
available, including bowls, squash, gym/sauna, tennis, tenpin bowling
or horse riding.
Waterworld also has a large variety of water sports such as water-skiing,
parasailing, windsurfing and sailing. Other activities could include visiting
the Kwena Gardens Crocodile Farm, Manyane Indigenous Bird Aviary or going
on a Camel Safari. Or enjoy the various options in the Sun City Entertainment

09h00 Meet by your KDR Representative at reception for the transfer to
Johannesburg Airport.
11h15 Check-in at Domestic Departures for your flight down to Cape Town
and the next leg of your adventure.
14h20 Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by African Blue Transfers
and transferred to your accommodation in beautiful Camps Bay, Cape Town.
You will spend the next 6 days at the Bay Atlantic Guest House in the
Garden Suite.
Cape Town is situated on the far South Western tip of
Africa. The Mother City has a bustling nightlife that includes
restaurants of all kinds, and many clubs and pubs spread around the city.
Cape Town is unique. It has an architecture and lifestyle which are broadly
cosmopolitan yet quintessentially Capetonian. But that's just the physical
base. The city has grown a soul and an adventurous spirit. With a diversity
of people and landscapes - from the mountains, lush indigenous gardens to
sandy beaches, the Mother City is the perfect place for the adventurous
spirit to live out its wildest fancies. Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate.
In summer it is usually pleasantly warm. The hottest days are often cooled
by pleasant breezes or strong winds. Some of the cities more famous attractions
include Table Mountain, which is also considered to be one the worlds most
well-known landmarks and provides visitors with great entertainment and
unforgettable Cable Car Rides to the top. Other attractions include many
historical buildings still standing among the new skyscrapers, the Castle
of Good Hope, Cape Point - the place of the Meeting of Two Oceans and Robben
Island - which houses the old prison for political prisoners convicted during
the apartheid era. Cape Town also boasts a magnificent night life, with
a variety of restaurants of various cultures throughout the city as well
as pubs and other night spots.
The
Bay Atlantic Guest House is a unique beachside villa with grande pool
and gardens. Situated 150 metres from the white sands of Camps Bay Beach.

the privacy of their own suites. The Garden Suite is situated on the ground

While some guests prefer doing daily excursions we would recommend at
least a 1 if not 2 night stay in the Cape winelands.
The Cathbert Inn is an ideal base for daily sightseeing trips - you can
follow the wine routes, exploring the quaint, historical towns of Stellenbosch,
Franschhoek and Paarl and the surrounding vineyards, tasting the fruit
of the winelands.
