Tilodi Wilderness offers the visitor a combination of rolling hills, wetlands and seasonal rivers with excellent game viewing and birding. To date, our bird list exceeds 296 species including the long tailed shrike, or Tilodi, with game such as sable antelope, tsessebe, eland, waterbuck, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe, as well as rhino, buffalo, hippo and leopard.
Tilodi Wilderness is well situated less than two hours drive from O R Tambo International Airport and Sandton, an easy drive on good roads. At Tilodi Wilderness guests are offered a wide range of accommodation options as well as a bushveld experience under guidance of highly experienced rangers with an intimate knowledge of the area.

What to bring:
At Tilodi Wilderness, all is supplied except for personal clothing. Winter months can be cold so it is advisable to bring a track suit, jersey and jacket. Comfortable footwear for walking and a hat are essential, whilst sandals or slip-ons for evening wear are useful. Personal toiletries, sun barrier creams and insect repellant are advised. Binoculars, a camera and plenty of film are advisable and a torch is also useful. Neutral coloured clothing is recommended.
