You can view the game from the comfort of equipped game viewing land rovers, on foot for a more thrilling encounter or on horseback for a wonderfully unique experience.
Set in the cool, whispering tranquillity of a fever tree forest, the Tree Lodge is a truly special retreat where you will be accommodated in luxurious stilted chalets. Enjoy the quiet lounge, observation deck and a sunny pool area where you might be visited by a family of warthog, a shy red duiker or a pair of purple-crested loeries.
Accommodation:
The suites at Zululand Tree Lodge consists of luxurious thatched chalets raised above the floor on stilts, set in the cool tranquillity of a fever tree forest.
Each of our 24 luxury "Tree Lodges" include an en-suite bathroom with shower, a double bed, a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private balcony with enchanting views into the surrounding forest. All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and insect nets, and are serviced daily by housekeeping.

 Dining:
Meals are served in the Boma, an outdoor, covered dining area that overlooks the fever tree forest and water hole. At night, log fires are lit creating a romantic, bush atmosphere. The pan-African cuisine offers a variety of dishes in buffet style and usually includes a venison dish amongst the choices of meat dishes.
The breakfast buffet includes traditional fare as well as an array of locally grown fresh fruits, yoghurts and health cereals. Lunch is an informal meal as most guests are out exploring the wonders of the area.
For those who prefer to spend the day relaxing beside the swimming pool or with a book in our spacious lounge, a light lunch is available off the room service menu.
Conference:
Full conference facilities are available for groups of up to 60 (cinema style), and standard equipment includes an overhead projector and screen, a whiteboard, and a flipchart with pens.

Adjacent to Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is the renowned Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest in Africa, where the big-5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) roam the bush.
 Game Drives:
Game viewing in open game viewing vehicles is usually reserved for the early mornings and late afternoons when the animals become more active after sheltering in the shade of the bush during the heat of the day.
Walking Safari's:
Those looking to get really close to nature can embark on foot with a trained game ranger to see the wonders of the African bush close up. The foot safaris are ideal for all and give guests the opportunity of truly experiencing the African bush.
Horseback Safari:
For novice and experienced horseman the horseback safaris add a whole new dimension to game viewing. The wildlife seem totally at ease with the horses and guests have an opportunity of getting close up to the game.
