Shayamanzi Pre booking information

Thank you for enquiring about Shayamanzi Houseboat the following information sheet is to help you clarify some queries you may have before booking.

Shayamanzi is hired out exclusively. We do not mix couples as Shayamanzi is a Houseboat and if people do not get along they cannot just walk away.

Shayamanzi has 6 luxury on-suite cabins with Twin Beds that can be made into Double Beds if required. She can accommodate 12 people in the cabins and an extra 4 People on the Upper Deck.

It is preferable to book a minimum of a two night stay to gain the whole experience.

Meals:

Meals consist of the following :

Full English Breakfast with all of the trimmings.
Mid-morning Tea’s and Biscuits
Lunch with items such as Homemade Bread, Quiche, Chicken Sosaties etc. (Menu may differ slightly)
Afternoon Cake
Bar Snacks
3 Course Dinner

Lunch is not served on the day of arrival as Bar Snacks are served shortly after boarding.

BOARDING / DISEMBARKING TIMES :

Boarding time is approximately 2pm on the day of arrival.
Disembarking time is approximately 10.30am on the day of departure – after Breakfast.

Transfers:

Shayamanzi’s Jetty is situated in the Pongola Nature Reserve. The transfer rate enables our guests to leave their vehicles in the safety of our Game Lodge – Shayamoya. Shayamanzi has covered parking bays for her guests at the Lodge.
We then transfer our Guests to the Jetty and collect the guests on the day of departure.
Transfers are conducted in our luxurious 14 seater airconditioned Toyota Quantum.
The luggage is stored in the trailer for the luxury of our guests. The Parks Board entry fees are covered in the Transfer fee.

Items included in the rate:

Shayamanzi has 2 x 85hp Tender Boats for our guests exclusive use. All of the water based activities such as Game Viewing from the Tender Boats and Tiger Fishing are included in the rate. Shayamanzi has a very experienced crew who conduct the above activities with our Guests.

Shayamanzi has a Jacuzzi on board, 2 Surround Sound Systems, DSTV, Dart Board and a Karaoke Machine for our guests enjoyment.

COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATE :

Transfer fees as discussed above.

Refreshments – We do not over charge our guests for our Bar and we stock the Bar to the guest’s specific needs. We do not allow drinks of any kind to be brought on board unless there is an extreme case where we will charge a small corkage fee. Please feel free to request the Drinks Pricelist if required before making a booking.

Rod Hire is R 75.00 per Rod and Tackle per day. If any equipment is broken or lost a replacement fee will be charged. If any guests have their own Rods they may bring them on board.

Bait : R 20.00 for a box of Sardines.

Any land based activity such as a Game Drive etc. is an additional cost.
